Have a great weekend!
So I am slowly trying to move into the shop. For you local folks you can see my sad attempts through the windows. I had an event there last week for a friend who was launching her business, Little Fish, and so that sparked me to get some of the pretty things together in time but there is a long road ahead! Bare with me folks....I'm working as hard and as fast as I can!
Here are some photos from our event...
Brook (far right) is the owner of Little Fish
That is me in the middle of two of my favorite friends!
So sad that my Instagam pics are better than Nikkon pics.
Go check out her website www.lovelittlefish.com...she sells all kinds of children's items made by Charleston artisans (several are pictured above!).
One of my favorite lil' men had a birthday this week and a big one at that...10! He even said to me "Sid, can you believe I am going to be 10?" Then shook his head back and forth like he was carrying all the weight of the world on him. I mean, really???
When did he go from this?
Yes, that is him getting private coaching lessons from John Smoltz! So grown up.
Speaking of grown up...within an hour of being with him this past weekend he asks me this...
F: "Sid, do you think you'll ever get married?"
S: "I hope so."
F: "So you do want to be married?"
S: "Yes, of course."
F: "So you just haven't found the right guy yet?"
S: "You could say that, yes."
F: "Well good, I was getting worried about you..."
WTH??? Who is the adult and who is the kid here? But I heart him regardless of how fast he is growing up! Happy Birthday Buddy!!! Big hugs as long as you will let me give them to you.
So sad to hear that Nora Ephron will no longer be able to make me sob like Aunt Flow is coming to town! She brought us many great movies that I have spent many wasted weekend hours watching like When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail and Julia and Julia. Let's take a look at the sets from some of these greats, shall we?
When Harry Met Sally
wagon wheel coffee table! Love that scene.
Sleepless in Seattle
You've Got Mail
Julia and Julia
RIP Nora. Thank you for your creative mark on our world.

Stopped by to check the progress of a client's house I helped with some selections on...
Hall Closet turned Foyer Nook...
Attended SOS benefit at The Lighthouse. It was a smashing success! And lots of fun.
(For those of you that don't know me, I'm the one in desperate need of some powder on the far right.)
Can't remember if I posted this or not but here is what I put together for a client's house...
If you are interested in my e-decorating services, email email@example.com for more information.
Am trying really hard not to throw myself off the Cooper Bridge. Still don't have the CO (certificate of occupancy) for the shop. Going on week three meaning each week I am suppose to get it and each week I don't due to delays by another sub. Also going on month six of working off my coffee table. Starting to loose it like Johnny did in The Shining. I managed to sneak a few things inside anyway so I'll taunt you with some images of what's to come...
If only you could see into my head! Or into the future. It won't be too much longer. But try not to ask me when the shop is opening or else I might go Johnny on your ass ;) Kidding (kinda). I have no idea is the answer because right now things are out of my control but my generic answer "this summer", although I am hoping for late June.
Happy Weekend'ing Everyone!
