Adios Amigos!

Ok, so this time I really am taking a blogging break. I am headed to Mexico (you have to say it like Alex Trebec would) for a good friend's wedding.

Here is my date...

Kenny Powers

How many of you had one of these?

When I return, I am going to single handedly bring back the Pancho.

While I am there, I also promise to listen to you Dave.

So I don't Pokipsy myself...

The Red Party

Tonight is The Red Party a masquerade at the Old Charleston Jail in downtown Charleston benefiting the American College of the Building Arts, a school dedicated to educating the next generation of building artisans. I had such a blast last year! And if you go, be sure to bid on a design consultation from yours truly in the silent auction. Click here for more information!

Decorganizing Wednesday: Some Really Cool Sh*t

Pardon the language but there is just no other way to say it! These organizers are beyond cool.

Inspired from an antique well pulley, these office organizers hold it all. Made of zinc and recycled sheet metal with a weathered surface, they will hold pens, pencils, standard sized magazines and envelopes plus more.

Old looking war crate, screen printed in French and translates in English to "Constructed during the War". Great for storage of kid’s shoes, balls, or just all that stuff you want to contain.

Inspired from industrial laundry carts. Each item will come with a different number chosen at random.

Organize it all with this set of crates in three different sizes.

If you are interested in any of the above, let me know. I am taking orders!

Fire, Fire!

Leave it to me to whip out the Beavis and Butthead quote.

I am having slight de ja vu....have I already done this post? Perhaps. Regardless, I SOO want my very own fire pit! Perfect for fall. I can just envision the romantic evenings spent fireside with someone special or fun nights with friends laughing and telling stories not to mention all the yummy S'mores I could ingest! Ok, so beers are more likely but I do love me some S'mores.

I am involved with a local charity, SOS (Share Our Suzy), which aides breast cancer patients with all the unforeseen costs associated with treatment (like gas cards, childcare, prosthetic bras, etc.) that are not covered by insurance. Southern Living did a feature on one women SOS has helped. You can read the full article here.

Jenny Roper smiles at her fourth grade student Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 in downtown Augusta, Ga. Roper, a teacher at Lake Forest Elementary, has been in remission for less than a year. Thousands came out to support the 10th Annual Miracle Walk for breast cancer hosted by University Hospital. The three-mile walk raised thousands of dollars for breast cancer research. "Today means everything to me," Roper said. Corey Perrine/Staff

I also wanted to mention my good friend Katie's sister, Jenny, who is not only a survivor but an inspiration! She is a teacher in Augusta, Georgia and all of her students showed up to support her as she participated in a local walk to raise money for breast cancer research. She is truly loved! Jade With Envy

I am drooling over these two images. The jade and turquoise colors are amazing!!! They make me want to take a tropical vacation STAT!

These images remind me of India Hicks whom I am slightly obsessed with...and as I always feel the need to say....not in a creepy way!

I am just seriously green (or jade-get it?) with envy! I mean look at her life....

I am going to go out on a limb and assume her life isn't like this every day....but still.

Happy Weekend!

"The hard part about being a bartender is figuring out who is drunk and who is just stupid." -Richard Braunstein

Seems as if I have been searching for barstools a lot lately for clients. There are millions of styles out there and most of them aren't that great (in my opinion). But these are pretty badass...

Don't you think? Have any that your really love? Let me know!

Bargain hunting that is!!! I love finding goodness like this in unlikely places!

Blue And White China

Blue and white china has such an iconic look, I especially like seeing it used in a more clean/modern way. If I were Eddie Ross I would tell you all I know about it.....but Eddie, I am not.

Country Living Fair

I am so bummed but I cannot make it to Atlanta this weekend as I had hoped for the Country Living Fair. Boo! But all you Atlantans out there should totally go! Here is the link for more information. But please don't send me pics of all the goods I am missing :( Like this....

This is killing me! Why o' why can't Atlanta be closer to Charleston? I abhor that drive. And it takes too long....pardon me while I throw a temper tantrum.
